Danny was at the Mesa City Council meeting on June 8, 2026 in solidarity with the ICE out of Mesa and No Data Centers protesters, when protesters were removed for holding small signs that a spectator claimed were obstructing the view. Danny caught some of it on video. There was no request that the spectator simply change seats, even though there were plenty of open seats. Even though that spectator disrupted the proceedings in the first place by yelling that the signs be lowered, no action was taken on her.
Everyone should join us for future meetings to let the Council know this violation of our right to Freedom of Speech will not be tolerated. Mesa City Hall Second Floor 20 E Main St Mesa, Arizona
